A special time of year has arrived for the trout fisherman, especially to those of us that live in the Southeast. It brings not only the joy of fall colors but cooling water temperatures bringing excellent fishing conditions for the next several months. Having been limited to high mountain streams or tail waters all summer, at least for trout, greater opportunities now abound.

Also, as the weather cools our chapter calendar ramps up including our SOS (stream of the season) outings. If you have not participated in one of these yet, you are missing a valuable opportunity to share, learn, and exchange banter with many of the chapters experienced members.
