Outreach Board Representative: Laura Barnes
CRCTU will reach out to expand its constituency and network of relationships by:
-Contacting new members personally and getting them involved.
-Providing visitors with chapter information packets, including a copy of the latest newsletter and a membership application; and providing new members with chapter information packets including a TU Decal.
-Interact with guests and new members to encourage and provide information on opportunities for participation.
-Planning day-trips to foster new member involvement by conducting mentoring and networking activities.
-Interacting with other TU chapters (i.e., Nov. Tri-Chapter Meeting) and supporting each other’s initiatives.
-Expanding horizons to include other methods of trout fishing with the goal to expand membership and increase interest in our conservation agenda.
-Expand group of CRCTU members participating in projects such as litter pick-up.
-Develop/Foster relationship with Student Sub-chapter of Chattooga River Trout Unlimited at Clemson to support the Trout Unlimited Mission.
-Utilize social networks to expand Trout Unlimited exposure.
-Attend Newcomers Club of the Foothills to provide information about the chapter and membership.
- Increase awareness of chapter opportunities and membership by teaching a class in Beginning Fly Fishing at OLLI through Clemson University.
