The Chattooga River Chapter of Trout Unlimited holds regular chapter meetings on the first Tuesday of every month. The meetings begin at 7:00PM and typically last until around 8:30PM. CLICK HERE... for more information.
The Chattooga River Chapter of Trout Unlimited hold regular chapter meetings on the first Tuesday of each month. The meetings begin at 7:00pm and typically last until around 8:30. Meetings are held at the Clemson Branch of the Pickens County Library 105 Commons Way, Central SC (midway between Clemson and Central on SC Hwy 93).
Educational programs of interest to chapter members are presented at each monthly chapter meeting. Furthermore, these meetings are the best way to learn about current chapter activities and to socialize and meet members.
Meetings are open to everyone so make sure you join us.
If meetings have to be cancelled, all members will be notified by MailChimp email.

Fly fishing knots from reel to line to leader to tippet to hook will be discussed. A knot tying contest will be happening.
March 4th 7:00pm– Bill Foster Jr. will be outlining a recent bamboo rod build.
April 1st 7:00pm– Will Wood, SC Department of Natural Resources biologist, will be our guest speaker.
May 6th 7:00pm – Fly Casting at Patrick Square Pond
June 3rd 7:00pm – Family Picnic - location TBD

Trout in the classroom (TIC) is a cooperative program between our local Trout Unlimited chapter (CRCTU), the Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) and local school districts. It teaches selected elementary and high school students about the environment via the life cycle of trout. CRCTU has been involved with this program for over 7 years.

In the spring, students take trout fry to a local river for a successful release under SCDNR supervision.
